Olivera Pudar was born in 1974 in Novi Sad, in Yugoslavia, now Serbia. She studied classical piano at the School of Music in Novi Sad and fine arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Novi Sad. Ms. Pudar graduated from the University of Arts, Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade in 2000. She also studied at the International School of Art in Italy in 2000. Ms. Pudar received her MFA in painting from Yale School of Art in 2006. She lives in Branford, CT, and Montecastello di Vibio, Italy with her husband, the painter Marc Servin, and their son Theodore.
Awards include the “Rista & Beta
Vukanovic” prize for painting, the “Neimar” Award for mosaic,
and the Elizabeth Greenshields Grant.
